| We are a group
made up of full members who play on Sunday mornings. Our group
was formed approximately 20 years ago. We like to keep our numbers
to a maximum of 30 players but occasionally it has gone above
that. We play all year round and our format is the game of the
day, i.e. if the Club fixture is a stableford format then we play
that competition, but only as a singles, not pairs or four ball
etc. Our year begins in June and ends the following May.
Our aim is to give our members something extra to play for on
Sunday mornings, we contribute a nominal amount, part of which
is paid out in prize money on the day to the eventual winner or
winners, and the remainder is saved towards an away day. The away
day is 18 holes of golf at another Golf Club within the M25 area,
a coach is laid on and the day ends with a meal at the chosen
Golf Club. There are a number of prizes on the day, some good
some not so good, depending on how you have performed over the
previous year.
Guests are welcome to attend the away day but we do like to keep
the numbers down to approx 32. Obviously Whizzer members have
first choice.
Our rules and regulations are those that are laid down by HGC,
with some minor exceptions.
