Hillingdon Golf Club, founded in 1892, is the oldest 9 hole golf club in Middlesex. Located between Vine Lane, Hillingdon Hill and RAF Uxbridge, the course, which features many ancient oak trees, is set in 36 acres of mature parkland that was once part of the old Hillingdon Manor Estate. At 5490 yards, with a par of 68 and 18 separate tees, the course is bounded in part by the River Pinn, which comes into play on 3 of the 9 holes.
Facilities include a locker room, bar and lounge, and there are excellent catering facilities. There is a putting green, practice net, and chiping area.
The pro-shop offers golf equipment and lessons.
The Club is affiliated to the English Golf Union and the Ladies Golf Union. As well as official Club competitions there are virtually unlimited opportunites to play social golf. Green fees entitle non-members to play and use the Club facilities.
As a members club with the stated aim of encouraging playing the game of golf, Hillingdon Golf Club seeks to maintain the standards and traditions of the sport while welcoming golfers of both sexes from all sections of the community. There are several categories of membership available to new entrants and it is not necessary to have a handicap or to know a member of the club to apply for membership.
